Kitty On The Beach

Previous sets had used the usual ways of mixing such as looping sections of a track or dropping on a beat at the right moment. For this next one however, I wanted to try overlaying music for the entire length of a track for a real mash-up and also edit existing songs to make them shorter so I could cram in more numbers.
As with Bahrain Peach 702, there's a strong summer theme across the set although the emphasis is more on soulful sultry nights rather than lazy summer days. Some of the tracks have a Latin theme whilst others are more ambient but I think it all manages to hang together quite well.
The mix took a long time to create, especially the middle order that went through several revisions to match songs in the right key as well as tempo. The stellar remix of Charles Schillings is a favourite whilst E Smoove with Candy D provides more than enough sex appeal. However, it's two tracks in particular with the beautiful Club Lonely and Night Source providing the sultry soul that underpins the whole mix.
